One of my best friends is my dog, Thumper. He’ll be turning 12 this August, so he is getting kind of old. We’re not sure what breed he is, mostly a mutt, but has a lot of characteristics of a golden lab. We got him from our neighbors when he was only a few months old. They were moving in a big city, and couldn’t take him with, so they gave him to us. He’s a very friendly dog. He used to jump up to new people when he say them, but he’s calmed down much more since then. It is pretty obvious that he’s getting old, as a  lot of the fur around his face is turning white.
